COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course is designed to increase the student’s awareness of hybrid, electric and alternative fueled vehicles. Upon completion, the student can make better informed decisions at the scene of a vehicle emergency such as MVAs, pin-ins and vehicle fires.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Upon successful completion of this program, students will:
- Have increased awareness of the types of Hybrid, Electric and AFV vehicles that may be encountered daily.
- Improve their ability to identify Hybrid, Electric and AFV vehicles involved in emergency incidents.
- Be aware of tactical options for emergency operations involving Hybrid, Electric and AFV.
- Be aware of operational safety considerations to protect themselves and others.
