This Shore-Based Water Rescue Course is intended to teach SMAT II & III members on proper use of the Shore-Based Water Rescue Kits.
The course will cover the following material:
- Introduction
- Environment & Safety Factors
- PPE Overview
- Techniques
- Hands on Application.
This course is an introduction to basic concepts and techniques (covers NFPA 1670). This will in no way certify a member as a Swift Water Rescue Technician.
***ALL ATTENDEES WILL NEED TO PROVIDE THEIR OWN PPE BAG (consisting of: PFD, Helmet, and Throw bag).***
