This course prepares participants to deliver EMI's ICS curricula. While ICS 100 and 200 courses are addressed, the major emphasis is on ICS 300 and 400.

ICS/EOC Interface (G191) Introduction to Incident Command System ICS-100 (IS-00100.c) An Introduction to the National Incident Management Sys (IS-00700.b) Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response (IS-00200.c) ICS-300 - Intermediate Incident Command System for Expanding Incidents Version 2019 (G-300.a) ICS-400 - Advanced Incident Command System Command and General Staff Complex Incidents Version 2019 (G-400.a) National Response Framework An Introduction (IS-00800.d) All instructors, including TtT applicants, are expected to possess a thorough knowledge and understanding of the Incident Command System (ICS) to include:
ICS Command, General Staff, and Unit Leader functions
National Incident Management System (NIMS)
National Response Framework (NRF) concepts and principles
Local, State, Tribal and Federal interagency cooperation and coordination
Incident Management Team organization, roles and responsibilities
In conjunction with the above requirements, instructors must also provide documentation that demonstrates successful completion of formal adult education and/or instructor training to include at least one of the following or its equivalent:
1. Emergency Management Institute?s (EMI) Master Trainer Program
2. National Fire Academy?s (NFA) Educational Methodology course
3. National Wildfire Coordinating Group?s (NWCG) Facilitative Instructor (M-410) course
4. Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) Instructor Training Certification Course
5. Equivalents (i.e. Total Army Instructor Training Course (TAITC); Small Group Instructor Training Course (SGITC: etc.)
6. State Certified Level II or higher Fire, Rescue, and/or EMS Instructor
(NFPA 1041 ? Level II)
7. State Certified Teaching Certificate
8. Advanced degree in education, educational psychology, technical education, or a related
program

Completion of this course does not authorize the instruction of the ICS Curriuclum. If you wish to instruct, you will need to complete a ICS Instructor application and provide the associated documentation for review and approval. The ICS Instructor Application provides the necessary information to complete and mail the application to the NCEM office. You may download the ICS Instructor application from the TERMS Document Library. For experience requirements, you must include 1 Incident Action Plan indicating you served in a multi-jurisdictional, multi-operational period incident or event.
